Jeffersonian Rain Gauge

Thomas Jefferson is famous for his many accomplishments such as his notable talent for mechanical inventions. This clever device uses a float and lever design to measure up to 5" of rain in 1/5" increments. The gauge, acting as a sail, will turn into the wind to ensure an accurate measurement. The gauge includes a hanger bolt for mounting and a pressure treated wooden stake for ground installation. Crafted in the USA of solid brass, glass and stainless steel.
