Jeffersonian Wind Gauge

This weather instrument is used to measure not only the direction of the wind, but also the speed.  The wind gauge has a cobalt blue glass counterbalance that points out the wind direction and acts as a damper to keep the speed indicator steady. The stainless steel pointer reads speeds up to 40 mph. Crafted in Maryland, this nostalgic wind gauge is made of solid brass, glass and stainless steel. It includes a pressure treated turned wood stake for ground installation and a hanger bolt for mounting.  This Jeffersonian Wind Gauge Measures 42" tall x 12: wide and 6" deep. Along with our other Jeffersonian instruments, it makes great garden art while keeping an accurate check on the weather conditions.
